From the office of the Global Chair, Alex Okoroji, we are happy to announce the appointment of Posh Trainer, Author, Gender Rights Activist, Citizen Journalist, & Podcast Host, Jyoti Tiwari into the core Power Team as 'Director of Community' for the G100 Media Arts & Communication Wing (G-MAC).
On a mission to bring together brilliant women from across the world, in a pact of purpose to create equity and empowerment for women and ALL. G100 is an eminent club of top 100 powerful women leaders in the world with a vision to impact the future.
WHO THEY ARE
G100 comprises a league of luminaries of eminence and excellence including Nobel Laureates, former Heads of States, Ministers, Businesswomen, Philanthropists, Investors, Entrepreneurs, Corporate and Community Leaders - a powerful Group of women leaders and achievers from all walks of life who wish to give back and move us all forward as architects of the future.
WHAT THEY DO
G100 is an action think-tank, fostering more women's network with a global, cross-cultural, intersectional and intentional perspective towards peace, parity and prosperity for all. Their core activities involve networking, mentoring, collaborations, upskilling, community building, thought leadership, knowledge sharing, global campaigns, policy recommendations and awards & recognition.
THE PURPOSE
The mandate of G100 is to provide the thought leadership for the coming decade on what needs to be done for inclusivity and economic and social empowerment of women globally. Together they will define, design and determine a new future with equity, equal opportunity, inclusion and economic empowerment of women, and of all, through the inclusive agency of women.
G100 MEDIA ARTS & COMMUNICATION
G-MAC is a multinational sector wing led by the eminent G100 Club, for Women using Media Arts and Communication to impact the world. As Gatekeepers of information, this G-wing is on a mission to create a thriving support network, opportunities and collaborative ecosystem for media arts practitioners in 100 countries. G-MAC connects, recognizes and supports women in creative media, broadcast media, print media, news media, electronic media, digital or interactive media across domains like film, television, radio, publishing, internet and all media arts & communication segments, to expand networks, educate and celebrate their accomplishments.
THE POWER TEAM
The Power Team is the core global team appointed by the Global Chair, working as part of her advisory executive council to amplify the vision of the sector globally.
RESPONSIBILITY AS DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY
Director of Community nurtures relationships and monitors engagement between G-MAC members and chapter chairs inside our dedicated virtual community, working together and leading the community coordinator and ambassadors. From creating activity polls, posts, in house community updates, trivia and in-house engagement campaigns to build relationships and foster collaborations among sector members.
ABOUT JYOTI TIWARI
Jyoti Tiwari is a Posh Trainer, Author, Gender Rights Activist, Citizen Journalist and Podcaster. She is the Gold Medalist of Dr Hazari Prasad Dwivedi Essay writing contest, and the winner of Sri Prem Chand Kahani Puraskar, Punjab University Woman of substance by SRL diagnostics 2016. She holds a PG Diploma in Journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and a PG diploma in Translation from IGNOU and has a BA (Hons) from Punjab University.
Jyoti is a published author of the Amazon best-selling book “Anuurag”, and has published a new book, “Ladka Hua hai.” with rave reviews from fans, supporters and readers alike. She has vast experience of dealing with the media as she has previously worked with All India Radio (Akashwani Lucknow) as a newsreader cum translator. Jyoti is a Podcaster and host of The Jyoti Tiwari Show.
She is a blogger and citizen journalist, and has also Co-authored research reports to the Government of India, and appeared on international radio shows as well for creating awareness regarding gender issues. Jyoti has worked towards sensitizing MPs and MLAs about gender issues and problems that have arisen. She has been a prominent proponent of gender research in the arena of well-being, has managed a community centre in Delhi NCR and handled a helpline.
She has appeared in various TV debates and programs voicing concerns on gender issues, spoken to hundreds of victimized people, listened to their problems and helped them stabilize in crisis situations. Jyoti also conducts training programs on soft skills and sensitise prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace in various organizations. She has conducted posh training programs and session in Shapoorji Pallonji Group: Adidas/Reebok, Volta, Sarva Foam and conducted Soft skill training at Amity Law College, Delhi University, Fastrack, and Akash Ananda Foundation.
